What is the difference between ‘interesting’ and ‘interested’?

Both interesting and interested are adjectives,but they have different meaning.
Interesting means holding the attention of someone.It tells how something makes you feel.
For instance- This book is very interesting. You should read it. i.e. this book will make him feel interesting.

Interested means having or showing interest.It tells how you feel.
For instance- I am very interested in going to museum.
It means you have an interest in visiting museum.
