For this lesson on English speaking, we select a glorious chapter in Indian history, the 1971 Indo-Pak war.
Most of us would know that December 1971 brought the finest hour of Indian army when close to 1 Lac Pakistani soldiers surrendered in East Pakistan and a new country, Bangladesh was born. This video documents one of the important battles of the 1971 war, the battle of Longewal. That’s where, first a handful of Indian soldiers halted the advance of a massive tank force of the Pakistanis and then, Indian jets made mincemeat of Pakistani tanks.
