Let’s now discuss some of the interesting words and phrases:

Frontier = Borders

Indian troops bravely guard our frontiers with hostile neighbors armed with deadly weapons.

The villages on the frontiers have a tough life, especially between hostile neighbors.

Confront = Face each other aggressively

I think we need to confront the builder. He made tall promises before we booked the flat and is now adding arbitrary additional charges and also, not providing half of the facilities he promised.

Confrontation would not solve this problem. We will need to sit together and talk.

Shelling = Firing artillery guns

Heavy shelling was going on in the Kargil area when the brave captain took charge of the troops assigned to capture the Tiger Hill.

This is a reinforced bunker designed to withstand artillery shelling

Chaos = Disturbance and confusion

There is total chaos in the government, no one knows where the country is going.

I think this chaos is good. Out of chaos, a new order would emerge which would be much better than the older, moth eaten systems.

Inevitable = Something which is bound to happen

I think it is inevitable that Virat Kohli becomes the captain of Indian cricket team.

Their divorce was inevitable because both of them were extremely inflexible and highly egoistical.

Barbarity = Extreme cruelty

The 26/11 terrorists shocked everyone with their barbarity

The people who kill in the name of religion are barbarians who do not deserve any human rights.

Draw into = Get sucked into some situation, be forced to get involved into something

I don’t want to get drawn into the conflict between the two factions in my RWA
