9/11 created a ripple effect resulting in war on terror and religious extremism spreading to several areas around the globe.
Rubbish his ideas = Dismiss his views
When Galileo said that the earth was round and not flat, knowledgeable people of that era rubbished his ideas.
Game changer = Revolutionary
Many feel Anurag Kashyap is the game changer in Indian cinema
Throw muck = Criticize viciously
Politicians have been throwing muck at each other for a long time without really investigating each other’s corruption. It’s a happy relationship.
Churn out = Produce something
The IMA Dehradun churns out daredevil army officers every year
Tangible = Real, something which can be seen and touched
